Plans are underway to start recording late June

I’m excited for the opportunity to make my next record with longtime friend, Paul Bryan. He introduced me to drummer Jay Bellerose and the three of us sat down and played together in Los Angeles in Jay’s living room. Paul and I are planning to capture the music we started that day for my next record. Ryan Freeland, who has worked with Paul on the last two Aimee Mann albums, will record and mix for us. Paul and I will head to NYC after getting the performances of us as a trio to add some orchestral elements. Gavin Lurssen, who mastered my first album “Carnival Love,” will put on the final sonic touches. I have 10-12 songs that I’m planning to record, and am working on additional ones that may make the cut by the time we start.

Paul Bryan – Producer/Arranger/Bassist (Aimee Mann, Mavis Staples, Lucinda Williams, Elvis Costello and others)

Jay Bellerose – Drummer. (Allison Krauss/Robert Plant, Ray Lamontagne, Marc Cohn, Paula Cole and others)

Ryan Freeland – Engineer (Aimee Mann, Neil Finn, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and others)

Gavin Lurssen – Mastering (Amy Correia “Carnival Love”, everything from Johnny Cash to Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, Cat Power)

And guest spots by classical musicians and friends!
